7 Months!!

Today marks the day that we have had our sweet beautiful babies for 7 months! Oh the time has flown!!! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were in the hospital waiting to find out if we were going to have the babies or if they would cooperate and stay in for just 48 more hours! Needless to say they decided to make their appearence on July 26, 2012 at 6:56pm, 6:57pm and 6:58pm. They were all born with their eyes wide open just looking at me. Hunter had a fohawk in his hair :) We stayed in the NICU for 9 days and got to know our beautiful babies. Since that amazing day they have grown and tripled in size! Appropriate I think haha! It's hard to believe that the babies used to fit in my tummy.....together! Gunner is 17lbs, 8oz, and 27inches long. He is my big happy boy. He has the softest and chubbiest cheeks I love to rub my face against his. He is happy and laughing all the time. He is so strong he is standing when you hold him and we expect him to be our first crawler.....he is on the verge. He can sit up by himself for about 10 minutes before he falls over. He is doing the bridge with his butt in the air while on his tip toes funny boy! He loves to play with toys, tonight we caught him rolling and scooting over to Hunter and Maarii and taking their toys. Twice he grabbed Hunter's pacifier out of his mouth, Hunter was like "hey thats mine and it's not for chewing on!" He loves to swing the rattle and other toys and bang it against his leg he thinks it is funny. He loves to sit at the new toy that makes music and press all the buttons he looks like such a big boy doing it. He is our mischevious little monkey! He giggles and laughes so much. He is all over the place, I am worried how much more he will get into once he actually starts crawling there will be no stopping him! His hair has started to grow and it is like his daddy's straight and sticks out all over the place especially after bath time. He looks the most like Josh and is such a busy guy. He is sure that at all meal times I am going to forget to feed him, so he makes sure to let me know that is it eating time!! He wants to hold the bottle and the spoon when he is eating and gets to sit in the wooden high chair because he sits up the best. He laughs and talks all day and has discovered his tongue so he will stick it out and roll it around. Gunner will be our little trouble maker. Gunner in front in the first picture in the 2nd picture you can see his hands on Hunter's back "here brother let me hold you up or maybe push you down!" Hunter is15lbs 15oz and 27inches long. He is our very serious mama's boy. Hunter is very attached to his mama, currently he will sleep only with me after about 3 hours in his crib. He wakes up and is VERY loud our little yeller we call him. The instant I pick him up he is sound asleep again on my shoulder, he won't even fall for my trick of putting him in the pack and play next to my bed.... little stinker. Hunter is our little red head his eyes have stayed very bright blue while the other 2 have a little brown in theirs. He has started rolling over and can now move all over the room to get where he wants to go. He is our only baby that really likes his pacifier or as Uncle Nick calls it "the sucker" but I am thankful that he takes it when he is super grumpy. He can now pick the sucker up and put it in his mouth all by himself, such a talented boy! He is sitting up but only with help and still pretty wobbly. The sure way of turning his frown upside down is to hang him upside down! I know weird right.....but he LOVES it! He likes to hang his head upside down off your lap and likes to kick his legs so we have to make sure we hang on to him! He will hang their until all the blood rushes to his face but he never complains......good thing mama pays attention to things like that. He is going to be our dare devil! Hunter doesn't like Gunner or Maarii to touch him he complains if they get to close. But he loves to be with big brother Noah, all the babies do. Hunter is happy as long as he can see me so he spends a lot of time in his chair or now his high chair in the kitchen. He is our best eater of food, he gets impatient when I am giving Gunner and Maarii bites. He likes to talk when he eats but he is picky and doesn't like green beans. Hunter is our little crabby boy. Maarii is 17lbs and 4oz and 27.75inches long. She is our beautiful sweet girl. She is such a happy camper loves to just go with the flow. She loves all 3 of her brothers and is a daddy's girl. She just lights up when he walks into the room. She was the first to get teeth, she got her 2 front lower teeth in. They are so cute you can see them when she smiles now. She rolls all over the place just like her brothers, she is usually trying to get closer to one of them. When she is excited she lays on her back and kicks her legs and lifts her butt up in the air, all the while growling and laughing. She loves to talk to her brothers and growls at them like she is bossing them around, today Gunner and her were talking to each other from their sitters. Her favorite toy is her soft pink elephant blanket she likes to rub it on her face. She is thinking about crawling and will do the bridge with her head and arms down on her tip toes with her butt up in the air. She also likes to sit up but needs assistance so she doesn't fall over. She is a little shy with strangers and wants to be with us, but she loves to smile at them from a distance. She is a major thumb sucker, her thumb actually has a callous on it from sucking it so much. As long as she isn't in high school sucking her thumb haha! Her new favorite thing to do is lay on her tummy in the family room and look out the window at the puppies. She laughs and talks to them and gets so excited when they look at her through the window.....sounds like Heidi and Hasslehoff have a new best friend in the making! I know I am biased but we call her our prettiest girl in the whole world! Her hair has gotten so long and dark, I am contemplating barretts soon. I just love this girl! Noah we can't forget the big brother who will be 14 in April! WOW! Noah is an AMAZING big brother!!! He loves the babies so much, he has been so helpful to me by holding and entertaining the babies so I can make dinner or take a shower :) He loves to hold them and they LOVE him too! They get so excited when he walks in the door after school. Noah is super sweet and will go in and get the babies up out of their cribs in the morning when he hears them crying. He can make them laugh he loves to cuddle them at night before bed. He will take them into his room and let them watch tv with him. One special moment was when he told some friends he was playing a game online with that he was holding his 6 month old brother, he tried to act all cool but you could tell how proud he was! He also tells the babies that he loves them when he thinks nobody is looking, sweet boy.

To my dearest Hunter

Hunter David I love that you are a mama's boy and hanging out with me makes you so happy. However it would be wonderful if you went back to sleeping in your own bed :) you are a bed hog and want to be up right next to me. Daddy says you take up more room than he does! We got you a very nice crib and Maarii even traded beds with you so you don't have to sleep next to the night light. I know that you have me wrapped around your little finger! You are the loudest yeller and you know I won't let you cry in your bed or anywhere because you will wake up your brothers and sister. You even wake up Noah in the other room. When you get upset or show any emotion your eyebrows get so red they are redder than your hair. But when you look at me with those big blue eyes and just laugh and smile I forget that I haven't slept well in days. You are so ticklish that you laugh when I am dressing you since the cloth sliding on your skin tickles you. You have the most adorable belly laugh which makes up for your crabby moments when you sound like a motorboat when you are crying! So Mr Hunter tonight is the night for you to try out that wonderful bed!
Love forever your Mother!

It's all about Maarii

Last night when the babies were staging a rebellion and trying not to go to bed I discovered that Maarii had her first tooth!!!! Wow! It brought a tears to my eyes! My little girl is growing up!! She is the first of the 3 to get a tooth. It is on the lower front I tried to take a picture but she thought it was funny and kept sticking out her tongue. You can just see it under her tongue in the second picture. Maarii is such a blessing to us, we tried so hard and for so long to have these beautiful babies and we were so blessed to have our little girl! She is the first girl on both sides even most of the 2nd cousins are boys! She is already showing the signs of being the bossy sister, she likes to growl and talk to her brothers. Whenever I lay one or both of her brothers right next to her she tries to touch them and hold their hands, and she gives this great big grin like "Thanks Mom I was looking for them!" Maarii was our baby C in the womb they were in a triangle and she was the top right. Whenever I would lay on my left side Hunter baby B would roll to the left and she would follow. She just couldn't leave them alone, which is also why they have to sleep in seperate cribs :) She was the last to come out when delivering but the first to come home. She has so much hair that I can almost put barretts in it, she doesn't like her flower headband though.....it gets in her eyes. She is so happy she rarely cries and is just content to watch and play not quietly she is quite the talker. She is super girly in all her motions she likes to lay on her back and lift her butt up with her legs. She rubs her head and sucks her thumb when she is tired. She gets startled by loud noises and doesn't like to play as rough as the boys. She has started being shy around other people besides Josh, Noah and I so she will cry when they hold her, but once she comes back to us she likes to watch the visitors. She isn't as ticklish as the boys but laughs at funny things and noises you make. I just love this pretty girl so much!

Carrots! Carrots! Carrots!

Carrots! Carrots! Carrots! Today we tried green beans but that was not a hit! We have been slowly trying new foods so far they love bananas, pumpkin, and carrots.....they may have a sweet tooth :) Trying to add real aka baby food to our daily routine has been rough. We are on a 3 hour feeding schedule which doesn't leave to much time in between to get the rest of the chores done. so adding food was hard for me....plus I am not sure I am ready for them to be growing up this fast. So we tried a few different approaches, finally what worked is 2 times per day and we all eat food together (well not me) we had to wait for Gunner to be big enough for the bigger high chair so they all can sit together. When I tried feeding 2 first then the 3rd one would get forgotten or we would run out of time. So eating together is key for us. Plus they like to see each other. G and M like to suck their thumbs and H likes to suck on his bib between bites. Needless to say it is all very messy! When we tried green beans today G and M would take a bite then make an icky face like "MOM what is this!" H just refused to open his mouth after the first few bites. haha! Of course I was the mean mama that made them take one more bite so I could take a picture for Daddy. So the next day I tried mixing carrots and green beans together, G and M were fine with it, G is a good eater and M just goes with the flow. Now H on the other hand tried a few bites and then was done. I know he was thinking "Mom! Why did you ruin the carrots by adding green things to it!!" I am sure this is just the beginning of H being my picky stubborn one. He has his reddish hair and his daddy's stubborn streak! (stubborn couldn't have come from me :) He is very serious but then he gets this huge smile that comes out of nowhere. So I am sure that we will have more battles about food this is just the beginning at 6 months. It is fun to see their little personalities starting to show themselves, and they are such big personalities!! I can't wait!

From 3 to 6

oh how life has changed!! i haven't been blogging for quite awhile but i will be getting back into it. i don't want to forget all the wonderful moments that happen every day! our family has grown from 3 to 6! on july 26, 2012 we had our wonderful triplets! gunner edward 5.5lbs, hunter david 5.8lbs and maarii louise 5.7lbs they were born via c section at 34 weeks and 5 days. such wonderful blessings! we just celebrated their 6 month birthday with cupcakes and photos with all the grandparents, aunts and uncles. with all these changes i have been so proud of noah he is such a wonderful big brother, he loves the babies so much. he is always wanting to hold and cuddle them. each day he has a favorite but it changes all the time depending on who he is holding. it is just precious to see the babies just light up when he comes in the room. they always have huge smiles just for him.
I am just so in love with these babies
gunner our baby A is our big goofy guy! He was the littlest when he was born but he has gotten so chubby at about 16lbs. He is really strong and is so close to crawling. He has discovered his tongue and is smiling and sticking it out at the same time. He is happy and smiley and has the cutest giggle. He is always moving even when sleeping.
Hunter our baby B was the biggest but is now the littlest is about 14 1/2 lbs he is a mamas boy has his strawberry blond hair and his shirt that says "crabby but cute" is absolutely right. He is our loudest screamer and talker sometimes you can't tell the difference. He doesn't like his gunner or Maarii touching him he always gets annoyed with them. So funny. Hunter is our little tickle bug he laughs when he is getting dressed and just lightly touching him tickles. he was the first to laugh. He is rolling and lifting his head up and he is getting his first tooth. I can see the nub on the bottom right it is rough on him, being held and chewing on his pacifier is all that makes him happy.
Maarii baby C oh we were praying for a girl! Since we kept the babies genders a suprise we were so happy that we got our little girl. she came out at the end making us hold our breath. She is the happiest girl on the block. She has a full head of dark hair and the biggest grin for everyone. She was the first to come home from the hospital and the first to start rolling over. She loves all of her brothers a wants to hold their hands and touch them. She is our little daddy's girl and just lights up when he comes in the room. She is so girly compared to the boys she sucks her thumb and loves to hug her teddy bear. She laughs at funny words and people talking to her and growls and bosses her brothers around.
I have been so blessed with my wonderful husband who has made it possible for me to stay home with all our kiddos. He is an amazing man! Every day is busy but brings new changes to the babies and I am loving every minute!
